Research Fellow in Virtual Human Cardiovascular Modelling & Simulation at the Emerging Exascale

Supervisor: Professor P. V. Coveney
Closing date: 26 April 2021

The UCL Centre for Computational Science (CCS) are recruiting for a candidate to join a very active inter-disciplinary group in the Centre for Computational Science and will perform modelling and simulation of the cardiovascular system on the whole human scale.

The post-holder will work on scientific applications of HemeLB, a flexible open-source lattice-Boltzmann code for the simulation of human vasculature, and the Alya Red code for human heart modelling, at the scale of the entire human body. The coupled code, running on powerful supercomputers including those at the emerging exascale, will be used by the post-holder for research in physiology and medicine within the Centre of Excellence in Computational Biomedicine, CompBioMed.

The post is funded by the European Commission and is available immediately, for a period of 24 months initially. For more information, visit the UCL job page. Enquiries are welcome and should be addressed to Professor Peter Coveney (p.v.coveney “at” ucl.ac.uk).
